About
Nico's has two locations in the Shuswap. Nico and Patricia moved to the Shuswap in 1997 and opened Nico's Nurseryland in April of 1998.

Family Business
Nico's Nurseryland is truly a family business. With roots going back to Holland, Nico's Dad was an orchadist in Holland before relocating to BC in the 1950's. The family opened up a garden centre in 1962 in Maple Ridge. In 1998, Nico & Patricia moved to the Shuswap and opened up their own garden centre in Salmon Arm. By 2003 they felt the need to expand into Blind Bay. The Blind Bay location grew into a growing facility and they moved it across the highway to it's current location next to the driving range. Nico & Pat, have slowly retired and now their kids, Maaike & Marty are running things with part ownership. It really is a family run business with the grandkids taking interest as well. It won't be long before you see them helping out at the stores!
